Boost Your Workout with Daily Affirmations

March 25, 2020 By Karen Ficarelli

Begin each day by boosting your mental workout and see the results in your physical workout. Your mind is a crucial component to a healthy and successful fitness program. Your mind must believe in order for your body to achieve. Research proves that repeating positive affirmations to yourself helps everything from reducing stress to improving your overall health.
Affirming your commitment to your fitness goals is an excellent way to train your body and your brain to work harder, go farther and see lasting results. Begin with short term goals and graduate into longer term goals. Each hurtle you overcome is a story of success.

Visualization helps to move you closer to your goals. Picture your perfect image of your body. Imagine you looking exactly the way you want to look and feel, not someone else’s idea of the way you should look. Visualize a healthy, firm, toned you.

Affirmations complement your overall fitness program. Combined with a healthy diet and regular exercise, affirmations feed your mind and renew your soul. Affirmations provide you with the power to make changes and succeed.

Daily affirmations should be repeated several times each day. You can repeat them as you get dressed in the morning, on your way to work, before your workout and on your journey home. Writing down your affirmations gives power to these positive words as they make an indelible print on your mind and soul.
Below are a few affirmations that I use in my rotation. I have hundreds that I have used over the years to help me overcome obstacles and give me the positive reinforcement I need to succeed.

I am healthy, I am whole.
My body is a gift that I cherish.
I love my body.
I love feeling healthy and strong.
I can go further.
I feel strong.
I am energetic.
I choose to change.
I am determined to achieve my goals today.
Exercise is fun.
Eating healthy makes me feel better.

Arise and Shine

October 2, 2019 By Karen Ficarelli

Just because it’s no longer summertime doesn’t mean you need to sleep the day away. Early morning is one of the best times for affirmations. The quiet solitude of an early summer morning helps me to reflect on my many incredible blessings. With my household still asleep, I retreat to my place of meditation and allow myself this wonderful indulgence.
I repeat my affirmations daily, not the same ones, mind you. I have many. These beautiful words of hope are more like declarations of facts that I know to be true.

For me, saying my affirmations helps me to begin my day on a completely positive, self -directive path. Afterwards, my mind is clearer, my stress levels are reduced and I feel completely rejuvenated and refreshed. My affirmations help me to deal with life’s day-to-day challenges.

Affirmations in the morning are a lot like breakfast. Starting the day with these powerful words gives me guidance and instills a sense of confidence that sustains me for the day. Just as my body relies upon the food I eat for energy, my spirit draws upon the power of these affirmations to help me face the challenges of the day.

Arise each morning and be thankful for another day. You have an entire day to devote to all that you deem important. Whether that includes working outside the home or taking care of the household, how you spend your day can include a little time devoted just to you. In addition to your affirmations, you will want to set aside at least 30 minutes each and every day for exercise. You can take a day off each week to rest, just as long as you exercise at the very least, for 30 minutes on the other 6 days of the week.

Remember that affirmations should always be positive and without hesitation. Constant reminders of the goals that you want to achieve, your affirmations must be recited as a declaration of what you are doing and plan to do in the future. For instance, instead of saying, “I will get slimmer” use the words, “I am getting slimmer.” In the second affirmation the words “I am” indicate the action is already taking place, rather than a mere hope of something happening by chance.

It may take a little practice in the beginning but give affirmations a try. When I first started I couldn’t think of much to say, now I have so many it’s easy to say different ones each day.

Affirmations for Fitness

August 9, 2017 By Karen Ficarelli

Improve your health and achieve your fitness goals with positive affirmations to rewire your brain and refresh your workout. Being physically fit will enhance your lifestyle and give you more energy to do the things you really want to do. But if your mind is stuck in some prison of its own making that won’t allow you to move forward, then it’s time to break those chains and find your fitness freedom.

Daily affirmations provide the positive reinforcement needed to re-program your thoughts to help you attain the healthy attitude you need to reach your goals. You can become more focused and energetic by channeling your positive energy, replacing negative thoughts with positive support.

I take time every day for positive affirmations. Usually in the morning, but all throughout the day as needed, I repeat the messages I want my brain to follow. It instills the love and appreciation I have for my body and my life. Just as I support my closest friends with words of encouragement, I give my body and my life that same respect. If I think I can, then it makes it much easier to succeed.

Below are 10 affirmations that I use for fitness. I have gathered so many over the years, because I believe these positive phrases really do work. Take a few minutes in the morning, throughout the day and then in the evening if you really want to channel your subconscious to a more positive way of thinking. It won’t be long before this becomes a regular and desirable part of your life.

1. I am a lean, fat burning machine.
2. I am physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually balanced and healthy.
3. I am focused on fitness.
4. I live a healthy lifestyle
5. I am thankful for my healthy body.
6. My body is my temple and I treat it with respect.
7. I am listening to my body.
8. I am changing my lifestyle to a healthy way of living.
9. I am reaching my weight loss goals.
10. Losing body fat is easy for me.

Affirmations For A Healthy Lifestyle

August 30, 2016 By Karen Ficarelli

Many people spend their lives trying to attain wealth, which they equate with happiness. However, there is no greater wealth than our own health. Yet, we rarely appreciate our health, until it is gone. Unfortunately, once we compromise our health, it is not so easy to restore. Many times the cost of our loss of health can’t be bought back, no matter what our wealth.

Begin today by celebrating your health and making a promise to live a healthier life. There is no better gift that you can give to those you love than being healthy. Just as you care about their well being, they want you to be healthy, too. The extra time you spend exercising and preparing healthy meals will be an investment that will pay off for you and everyone you love.

Managing your weight is just one part of a healthy lifestyle. Regular exercise and activity are a must for staying healthy. If you can, engage someone you love to join you for a bike ride or even a long walk. Make this a regular routine that you will both look forward to. Nothing relieves stress better than a half hour of exercise after a long day of work. It is so much better for you than sitting in front of the television hour after hour. Just get up every so often and exercise next to your chair, if you have to stay by the tube.

In addition to exercise and diet, I keep a fitness journal. I write down everything I eat and drink each day and all of the exercise and activities that I engage in. To keep me inspired and motivated to stick to my fitness program, I start each day by repeating affirmations that give my mind, body and soul the direction and encouragement to stay focused and attain the benefits of a healthy lifestyle.

Below are 10 of my favorite affirmations that I use to help encourage my decision to live a healthy life.

1. I am changing my lifestyle to a healthy way of living.
2. My body responds to my thoughts.
3. Everything I eat nourishes my body.
4. I love to exercise.
5. I am physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually balanced and healthy.
6. I love and approve myself.
7. Every day, I feel stronger and healthier.
8. I am choosing progress over perfection.
9. I am responsible for my health.
10. I live a healthy lifestyle
