Confidence Comes From Doing Something Amazing

December 21, 2022 By Karen Ficarelli

Change is not easy. Change can be difficult, but it can also be liberating. You know when you need to make changes—the hard part is beginning the process.

A new day, maybe a new chapter in your life can be exactly what you need. Why not take a chance? Don’t allow procrastination to become your habit. There is no better time than now. Allow your spirit to shine as bright as possible every single day.

Confidence comes from doing something amazing. To make great gains be vulnerable and take a leap of faith. Be open to learning and experiencing something out of your comfort zone. Don’t let fear hold you back from enjoying life.

Change is good on so many levels. The more you let go of things that don’t treat you lovingly the more you will attract and experience what you really want. Often out of habit we hold onto exactly what holds us back. Stop doing more of what you really don’t need or want in your life.

You may have forgotten that you could do anything you choose to do. You can have the kind of life you desire. Take a look at yourself; analyze your life and your daily habits. Tell the truth about what you see. Are you willing to take a step forward and move closer to where you want to be?

Never mistake a good thing for an easy thing. If you are persistent you will get what you want. If you are consistent you will keep it forever. What we nurture grows. Being fit and healthy is a discipline that requires a lot of effort.

No one is in charge of your happiness except you. Stop living your life wishing for the perfect weight, mate, family or career. You have all the power to take the necessary steps for change. Change is needed to better yourself, love yourself and find your truth.
about yesterday won’t make tomorrow any brighter. Take action and let what you’ve learned improve how you live today. Make that change today, and never look back. Be healthy body, mind and soul.

Confidence Is Not A Dirty Word

May 10, 2016 By Karen Ficarelli

You may have laughed when you read the title to this article, but recently I have discovered that many women feel like confidence is something they don’t deserve. To them it is a word that shouldn’t be spoken, a word that sounds too boastful. But, in reality, confidence is a liberating word that allows us to be all that we can be.

Confidence is defined as a belief or self-assurance in your ability to succeed. The steps that lead us to this feeling of certainty are the ones that define our willingness to try and succeed. Women who are confident in their own bodies and abilities have a certain air about them that can be recognized in the way that they carry themselves.

Women who are confident are often the target of ridicule and criticism. For many reasons there are people who are uncomfortable in the presence of confident women. It’s not always easy to feel at ease in our confidence, even though we know there is nothing wrong with feeling confident in our bodies and the way we dress and move.

Try not to let other people influence the way you feel about yourself. You have worked hard, paid your dues, and deserve to feel confident in your ability to succeed. Misery loves company, but you don’t have to attend anyone’s pity party.

Having confidence means being in control of your actions. This includes your emotions, your body and your mind. You make the decisions and accept full accountability. Confidence doesn’t come from being right all the time, either. A confident woman admits when she is wrong and realizes that making mistakes is part of every process. She doesn’t fear other’s opinions and she stands her ground on matters that are important to her.

Being confident in your own body is something that is often hard to achieve. We tend to measure ourselves according to other’s expectations and feel ashamed if we don’t measure up, so to speak.

Exercise is one way to boost your confidence. Not only does physical activity release those feel-good endorphins, exercise makes us feel pride in our accomplishments. Achieving levels of fitness that you didn’t think you could accomplish will definitely make you feel proud and more confident in your own body.

Remember, confidence is a wonderful thing and can be spoken aloud. Be strong, be proud and feel confident.

Why I Love To Exercise

December 28, 2014 By Karen Ficarelli

I asked ten ladies about their relationship with exercise and got some interesting and motivating responses. The ladies I chose to interview all participated in exercise to some degree. Most of them exercised every day or every other day, while a couple of them only exercised a few of times a month.

Exercise gave many of these women a sense of satisfaction in every aspect of their lives. Not only did they gain confidence as they accomplished difficult exercise moves, they felt confident in relationships in both their personal lives as well as their careers.

Some reported a spiritual awakening from exercise. As if becoming one with the universe, these women confessed that exercise felt like the right thing to do. They said that they owed it to their body to give it what it so desperately needed and as they fulfilled that obligation they felt at peace with themselves.

Weight loss or weight management was high on the list of why many of the women exercised. For many of them, exercise was combined with their diets for optimum weight loss, while others revealed that exercise allowed them to eat some of their favorite foods without the guilt.

One woman said that regular exercise helped her rest better at night. She has trouble falling asleep and staying asleep. When she started exercising, she began to fall asleep earlier and rest better throughout the night. A word of caution here, exercise a few hours before bedtime, exercising too close to bedtime may make it more difficult to fall asleep.

The women who only exercised a few times a month, said they enjoyed exercise, were aware of the benefits, but unfortunately lacked the time. When they did find the time to exercise, they felt elated afterwards and had a strong desire to make exercise a regular part of their lives. However, they were still trapped by the elusion that they didn’t have enough time to exercise.

With all the benefits that exercise has to offer, I cannot understand how women can still say they don’t have time to exercise. And it’s not just the benefits that are important. Not exercising and leading a sedentary life is extremely bad for your heart. Studies are showing that inactivity is one of the worse things you can do for your heart.

Exercise is good for the body, mind and spirit. As I listened to these women talk about their relationship with exercise I felt inspired and motivated to share their stories with all of you. I want you to love your body, get excited about exercise and share your accomplishments.
