Skulpt Aim Review

November 10, 2015 By Karen Ficarelli

I just can’t stop talking about my newest addiction. It’s totally healthy and has become a vital part of my fitness lifestyle. The Skulpt Aim is my favorite new fitness tool and I just love it. I have synced it to my phone to give me all the information I need to monitor my entire workout. It really has taken the guesswork out of my fitness program.

Skulpt Aim Review

Too often, people make Monday resolutions to lose weight that are soon forgotten by Friday. Unfortunately, the majority of women still believe that number on the scale represents their overall health. In addition to a healthy weight, muscle quality is vital to a woman’s complete health and wellbeing. As a personal trainer, I know the importance of muscle mass for women, especially as we age. That’s why I really like the Skulpt Aim, because it gives me all the information I need to monitor my muscle development and overall fitness, which I can tell you is much more important than any number on the scale.

The Skulpt Aim measures fat and muscle. It not only tells you the percentage of fat you have in your body, but also the fitness of your muscles. You can track exactly where most of your fat lies, and more importantly, the real muscle quality of 24 individual muscles.

I believe that knowledge is power. With accurate information about the quality of my muscles, I can power up my workout to make it more effective for my body. Skulpt definitely keeps me motivated and recharged.
I’m always looking for fitness motivators and ways to keep the focus on fitness, because I truly believe that fitness isn’t an on-again off-again resolution. For me, it’s a lifestyle.

As your body changes, your fitness routine should change as well. When exercises that were hard become easier, it’s time to make some changes to keep your muscles challenged. The Skulpt Aim makes it easy with integrated online tracking that syncs automatically to your personal online dashboard, tracking your results and offering advice on the best workout for your body type. It’s basically your own personal trainer. Measuring your fat and body percentages in the privacy of your home.

Fitness is a healthy lifestyle and the Skulpt Aim can be an integral part of it. It’s my healthy new addiction, I look forward to using it everyday. Take my advice and give it a try, the Skulpt Aim is guaranteed to hook you for life.

The Amazing Diet That Lets You Eat All Day and Still Lose Weight

December 1, 2014 By Karen Ficarelli

If you have tried diet after diet only to be starving yourself and seeing minimal results, my diet may be the solution to your weight loss problems. Since we can’t live without food, it is ironic that many diets starve their followers by reducing the amount of calories allowed at each meal. Food is essential to any diet and eating the right kinds of food will help you lose weight and keep it off.

Rather than the traditional 3 meals a day, I recommend eating 5 meals. Space the meals about 3 hours apart. The meals will be smaller than if you were eating only 3 meals, but will satisfy your appetite at each meal. You can even split a traditional meal in two parts and eat one for lunch and the other half for a snack. If you eat like this you will never be hungry.

After your meals, get up and move around. Changing your surroundings, even slightly will help your mind adjust to the fact that the meal is over. Remember it takes your mind a little longer to feel satisfied than it does your stomach.

Don’t skip meals. Keep healthy snacks with you so you don’t ever have to skip a meal or settle for an unhealthy snack in a vending machine when you are hungry. There are several portable protein snacks that are perfect to take with you when you are on the go.

In addition to your diet, you must stay active. A sedentary lifestyle is dangerous to your health. Exercise will help you to digest your food, burn calories and build muscle.

Fitness4Her is a diet and exercise program developed exclusively for women. There are 12 principles to the Fitness4Her diet that will help you to lose weight by eating foods that are good for you. I have outlined these for you.

1. Eat often, but eat in small portions.

2. Don’t skip meals.

3. Don’t forget your fiber.

4. Eat plenty of protein, but get it from lean sources.

5. Within reason, eat as many servings of fresh fruits and vegetables as possible.

6. Reduce your intake of refined carbohydrates.

7. Reduce dietary fat generally, and particularly reduce unhealthy saturated fat.

8. Reduce your intake of salt.

9. Avoid alcohol.

10. Drink plenty of water.

11. Take a good multi-vitamin.

12. Counting calories … for those who must.

Love The Body You Have

August 8, 2014 By Karen Ficarelli

Don’t wait for the body you want to love, love the body you have right now. No matter what your age, size or shape, it’s your body and it deserves all the love you have to give it. A complete work of art, a woman’s body is a gift to be treasured and admired. If you aren’t giving your body the respect it deserves, maybe it’s time you allowed yourself to fall in love with it, again.

If the number you see on the scale makes you feel guilty or ashamed, it’s time to relieve yourself of those incriminations and set yourself free. You are more than your weight; you are a child of God and therefore a perfect being. If you can’t wrap your head around that then you need to change the opinion you have of yourself.

Accepting who you are is sometimes difficult, but not impossible. The tendency to downplay your own achievements is prevalent, as is the temptation to criticize the image staring back from the mirror. You have to take control of your mind and the way you process your thoughts to change this well practiced behavior. It is not easy to change the way you think, but it is possible.

When you look at yourself in the mirror, only concentrate on all the things you like about your image. Accentuate your best traits and focus on them, drowning out all the negative thoughts and critical views that may be popping into your head. Every time a less than desirable thought enters your mind, counteract it with a healthy positive compliment to yourself. If you do this, you will uncover more and more features that you like about your body.

Learn to love the body you have and take care of it like you will own it for life. A funny statement for sure, but the truth is, your body will last you your lifetime. That is why exercise and diet are really important. In addition to making your body look fabulous, women’s fitness, including diet and exercise, is the key to a long and healthy life. What you eat and how much you exercise, have much to do with the size and shape of your body and how you feel most of the time. Give your body the love it needs, and your body will repay you with beauty and health.

Get A Beautiful Bikini Butt

July 31, 2014 By Karen Ficarelli

For the girl who cares about her backside, I have some easy to do exercises that will get your butt in the best bikini shape and just in time for the big waves of summer.

So, if the beach is calling your name, and the sound of breaking waves is music to your ears, it won’t be long before you are trying on tropical colored swimming gear and itty bitty bikinis.

Shoulder Bridge
Lying on your back on a mat, bend your knees and place your feet hips width apart, your arms should be extended by your sides, palms facing downward, elbows extended with your shoulder blades reaching down your back. Draw your navel inward towards your spine and press your lower back down towards the mat keeping your chin level. Inhale, as you lift your hips away from the mat by rolling up one vertebrae at a time, exhale return your hips to the mat again rolling one vertebrae at a time. Repeat 8 times.

Pilates Hip Circles
Lying on your back on a mat, with your chin level, shoulder blades reaching down your back, arms extended by your side, palms facing down, navel drawn inward towards your spine, raise your right leg, with toes pointing towards the ceiling. Inhale; circle your leg to the right, and then forward then across to the left and back to the starting position. Repeat eight times then switch to the left leg.

Lunge
Standing with your feet together, place your hands on your hips, lift your chest and draw your shoulders down your back, pull your navel inward to engage core muscles. Inhale, step with your right foot forward and lower your left knee towards the ground, as you exhale step back with your right foot to a standing position. Hold your shoulders squarely on top of your pelvic area. Repeat on the left side, lowering your right knee to the ground and then stepping back with your left foot. Repeat 10 to 12 times.

Donkey Kicks
Beginning on all fours, with your knees positioned directly below your hips and your hands directly below your shoulders, navel drawn inward towards your spine and your shoulders reaching down your back, inhale, lift your right heel towards the ceiling with your knee remaining bent. Exhale; lower your knee back to the mat. Repeat on the left side. Continue alternating sides 10 to 12 times.

Cardio activities such as walking, jogging and cycling can also work the muscles that help you get that beautiful bikini butt. Stay active and enjoy life to the fullest, healthy and happy in mind, body and spirit.
