Inspiring Words Motivate My Workout

May 25, 2022 By Karen Ficarelli

From a very early age, there have been many people who have inspired me. Parents, family, friends and associates have provided words of inspiration that have lifted me up and empowered me to be the best that I can. I strive each day to be a better person than I was the day before.

I have dreams, and those dreams inspire me and motivate my life. Motivation is when you grab hold of an idea and don’t let go of it until you make it a reality. Inspiration is the reverse when an idea grabs hold of you and you feel compelled to let that impulse or energy carry you along. You get to a point where you realize that you’re no longer in charge, that there is a driving force inside you that can’t be stopped.

Listen to your intuitive inner voice and find the passion that stirs your soul. Inspiring words help me focus on my purpose. Each of us has a purpose in this life and a responsibility to fulfill that purpose. I draw upon words of inspiration to motivate me and keep me strong. When I am feeling tired, weak or discouraged, I reflect on inspirational passages to build me up again.

Fitness is about making a decision for a healthy and happy lifestyle. This includes exercising and eating healthy and sometimes that requires a bit of motivation, especially, if you are just starting an exercise program. Change is difficult and it requires a lot of inspiration, motivation, perspiration and persistence.

Each day that you stay motivated and inspired to make positive changes puts you one day closer to your goal. Some days you may be strong; some days you may be weak, don’t give up; keep moving forward. Your strength and resolve will provide the inspiration you need to keep going. It’s contagious, too. As you embrace these positive changes you will begin to inspire others to make the changes that they have been longing to make.

Close your mind to negativity. It can suck the wind out from your wings. You were born to be an inspiration to others. Stay strong in the face of adversity and know that you are beautiful just the way you are. You have the power to fulfill your destiny, but you are not alone.

Draw from the inspiration of others and be a guiding light for all who follow you. Stay motivated and be healthy body, mind and soul.

Energize with Exercise

June 17, 2020 By Karen Ficarelli

Energize your body, mind and soul by exercising every day. Even when you feel too tired to get moving, motivate yourself to push forward. Our bodies are designed to move! We need to keep moving throughout our lives in order to maintain not only healthy muscles but to keep all of our internal systems in tip top shape as well.

To keep our bodily mechanisms hard at work, we must keep the gears moving. Otherwise our muscles become lax and withered and in turn, our bones suffer the consequences. For instance, when core muscles in the body are not exercised and developed, more stress and strain is put on the back and spine. The same for the knee. Knee injuries that develop into arthritis can be helped dramatically by strengthening the muscles that surround the knee.

We all know that a healthy heart is essential to living well. Daily activity has been proven to strengthen the heart muscles and alleviate stress by helping the body to produce endorphins. Regular cardio exercises combined with strength training provides the best exercise plan.

Exercise is good for the mind and soul as well as the body. It feels great to take a nice walk after a big meal. Not only does the walk help your food to digest, it relieves stress and gives the mind and soul a chance to recharge and reboot.

There are so many benefits to staying active. Just as well, there are serious side effects that can develop when a person chooses a sedentary lifestyle devoid of exercise and activity. Don’t wait for these ailments to steal your zest in life. Go out there and get moving.

You don’t have to join a club or do anything fancy to begin exercising. If you are a beginner, start with a 15-minute walk out and 15-minute walk back. That’s an easy 30 minutes of exercising that you can build on day after day. I guarantee you that if you stick with it you will never regret the time you invest in exercise and taking care of your body.

The Miracle of Motivation

January 22, 2020 By Karen Ficarelli

If you have ever dreaded a task or had difficulty getting started, you know how hard it is to achieve success. There is simply no way to succeed if you don’t start somewhere. The simple truth is, sometimes you need motivation. You need a reason to succeed, something to ignite your imagination and give you the wind beneath your wings.
Many women need to get motivated to begin exercising. If you need help getting motivated, you may need a friend to workout with or you may decide to hire a personal trainer to help you get started. These people can help to motivate and inspire you but to stay motivated, but it’s important to become accountable for your own motivation.
Mentally engaging in your workout will help motivate you to strive harder, go longer and achieve better results. After working out for a while you may become comfortable with the same old routine or worse, you may become bored with your routine. Make regular changes to your exercises, the repetitions, the amount of weight you use and the intervals you mix in.
Get involved with activities such as tennis or racquet ball at the gym or club. These sports give you the opportunity to socialize while getting a great amount of good physical exercise. The engagement of like-minded friends and acquaintances provides a great amount of motivation.
Take long walks and give your mind a quiet time to refresh and reboot. Your mind is the catalyst for motivation. It needs time to rejuvenate in order to focus on the task ahead. Walks are beneficial to your physical health, as well. If you have a dog, a daily walk is good for both you and your pet.
A nice bike ride by yourself or with family or friends is a nice way to unwind in the evening. Getting out in the neighborhood or nearby bike paths and parks can keep you familiar with the community while giving you a great physical activity that everyone can enjoy.
Keeping a journal is a great way to motivate yourself every day. Writing down your goals, focusing on your efforts and going over your achievements at the end of each day will provide you with the motivation to reach all of your goals.
